Rams Snag North Carolina DE Robert Quinn With Pick #14

Rams improved their defense in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft when they took NC Junior defensive end Robert Quinn of 14 selection in the first round.

Here is the report for the detection of Walter Quinn Football

Strengths:

Elite Athlete

The speed and the speed short-range

Exploding off the edge

Gets off blocks

Advanced skills step

long arm

Forces fumbles

The versatile system

Lots of upside-down

Weaknesses:

Run defense must improve

Conflict snap reaction

The production was at the top of the competition

Only two years of college football

Suspended for 2010 season

Medical - benign tumor removed in high school

Summary: Robert Quinn was one of the Tar Heels interrupted season, and consequently have a lot to prove. athletic talent from his sophomore campaign, but when a gap year is never a good thing. However, he is able to play outside linebacker or 4-3 defensive end to convert to 3-4. Pass-rushers are a hot commodity in the NFL, and you can get after the quarterback.

Player comparison: DeMarcus Ware. Quinn said he wants to be "the first Robert Quinn." I'm afraid I do not liken it to an elite talent could come later. It does not have the same properties. Ware was also the work against the run coming out of Troy, and when the fastest time, Quinn's inaction was due to its suspension is decomposed in He said the presentation guru Mike Mayock and the NFL Network is scheduled to Quinn skip the Combine - which is something Ware, really - but the free time allowed by the event. Quinn, however, is similar to a natural ability to get after the quarterback.

Matt's Take: The Rams want to pressure the QB more in 2011, and they hope that Junior can do it. He is a solid guy off the edge, and also has great speed, which will improve the position. Rams should benefit from this recovery, a guy who will help the defense, and this is an area where the need for the team heading into the offseason.
