Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said Wednesday that "the May issue of Playboy is unforgettable with Dancing With the Stars" Karina Smirnoff on the cover and nude inside, which can lead people behind the scenes of the affected family proves panic.
"If Karina posed nude, you can say goodbye to her Dancing Days," "DWTS" an insider told me just after hearing the announcement on Twitter, and HEF. "I hope well of Karina, this is not true."
Oh, but it seems to be true as Us Weekly says it has confirmed, though Karina representative has not yet responded and reported that ABC had no comment. Meanwhile, a sexy dancer will continue to wow audiences every week, a favorite surprise "Karate Kid" Ralph Macchio. But the biggest surprise is coming later this month, when the May issue of Playboy newsstand.
Given the popularity of Ralph and Karina far this season, it seems more likely still foxtrotting away when the item was published around the world.
Immediate response to ABC, they told me that this is one of their dancers to pose nude for a continuous period of time could "land" to show a healthy image.
"ABC publicity department controls the image of the show with an iron fist. It's a cash cow and will not allow his reputation to be soiled by a dancer who wants to do Playboy," a source told ABC.
Not only to get into hot water with fans and the TV family network, they told me that Karina has violated the terms of his contract to represent the son of the venerable magazine, its leaders to sign on it.
It would not be the first time, a member of the family DWTS had to be stopped.
"Only a few weeks ago, ABC Public Relations has stopped [show] Tom Bergeron is doing a live webcast from the wall, will not accept. I can only imagine what is happening right now, when Hef tweet."
Karina also would not be the only person on the dance floor to pose nude in Playboy. Hugh ballroom visited several times to encourage your ex-girlfriend, Kendra Wilkinson as a candidate on the issue, but obviously was aware of another lady on the dance floor.
